So this is going to be a picture update on life in general here in China.

This Thursday was the Mid-Autumn Festival and we had the day off from school. Wednesday night, a bunch of us went hiking to a pagoda. I have more pictures on my actual camera which I'll upload as well.

We had a yummy traditional dinner from Grandma's Kitchen (a restaraunt) and then went down to the river to let off lanterns. It was bittersweet because it reminded me of my last girls' night in the States where we did the same thing.

After that, Jem, Julie, Josie, Evan, and I went to KTV (karaoke) down on Trash Alley. It was so much fun. We stayed out til almost 5am so it was good we didn't have school the following day.

I got another new student on Friday. Her name is Janet and she's American. She's lived in China for a while and her Mom sent her to Chinese school. She seems very sweet.

Friday was Oktoberfest at the German Bar at the Death Star aka the Intercontinental Hotel. It's in the shape of a ball hence the name Death Star. Great German buffet and awesome German music!

This morning, all of SCIS went rafting on bamboo boats. Such a fun time!! It rained off and on the whole time. We all got water guns to soak each other as we floated down the river. As soon as I walked out of the toilet, Aliza (The LS principal's kid) soaked me with her gun. My whole back was soaked. It was a wonderful start!

All in all, it was a great day! Next week, all of the US will be gone on China Trips so the LS can partay!!! Then, it's National Holiday and onto Guilin!!!
